Dear Parents,

You probably already know that schools now have government targets to meet to improve communications with parents by using modern technologies.

Our school already places letters on our website and we keep it up to date with the school’s events and information for you.

Becta research showed that 68 % of parents would like their child’s school to use emails to communicate with them.  Despite the external pressures on schools there are also compelling reasons why our school should also make this a priority:

Save the school money – paper and toner

Reduce administrative workload

Make communication with parents quick and easy

Parents can inform the school of absences by email.

The school would like to pilot this method of communication, during the initial test period hard copies would also be distributed. Any parents without internet access can request hard copies going forward. Please email the school as soon as possible with your details, ensure that you keep the school updated should you change email address in the future.

Yours sincerely,

 Jacqui Nicholson

School Business Manager
