Welcome to EYFS (Nursery & Reception)
Mrs Bowman – Class Teacher & EYFS Lead
Update Monday 22nd June 2020
I hope you are all ok. Can you believe it’s only 4 weeks until the end of the school year? I have a few surprises to share with you in the coming weeks, so please keep an eye on your emails for further details.
The TEAMS meeting this week, despite a few technical glitches, were great. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. It was lovely to see lots of faces that I haven’t seen for a while. I will be organising some more team meetings where there will be some activities for you to take part in, linked to our Minibeast topic.
Below, is the home learning which will take you up to the summer holidays. The activities are based around the theme Pirates. I hope you enjoy your new jobs!
Again select the activities depending whether your child is in Reception or Nursery.
Writing:– If you haven’t finished your Phonics workbook, please continue to work through book, there are also additional writing tasks below to complete.
Reading:- Please continue to read for at least 20 mins each day with an adult/older person, practise your sounds too. Again there are additional reading tasks in the tasks below to complete.
Maths– If you haven’t finished your Maths workbook, please continue to work through book, there are also additional numeracy tasks below to complete.
Please find in the Reception section above, the buried treasure, pirate song, walk the plank and boat craft ideas that are referred to on the Nursery activity grid.
If you have problems/concerns regarding work, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me at: email@example.com
Please keep the photos coming of what you have been up to whilst at home, its always lovely to hear from you and see what you have been doing and remember to…
Whilst the children are at home, please find below a list of useful links to websites that can aid with home learning:-
Please filter the level by book band. Start with Book Band 1: Pink. They can then move onto Book Band 2: Red and if they are ready for a challenge then try Book Band 3: Yellow. With each book encourage the children to read it a couple of times for fluency. There are also additional activities to play with each one.
Please check this page regularly for any updates
