Welcome to Year 2 (2020-2021)
*General Class Information*
As we have now developed our ‘classroom community’ using Class Dojo and are finding this a successful means of communication between home and school, this Class 2 webpage won’t be updated as regularly as it may have been previously.
We are enjoying using Class Dojo to share children’s successes, homework, general updates and communicate with parents/carers at home, and hope you are finding it as useful as we are. If you require any support in using Class Dojo, please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org 🙂
Please continue to look out for your termly newsletter and a welcome message at the beginning of each term here on the class page.
We hope you have all had a fun-filled summer holiday and are feeling eager to come back to school as a Year 2 pupil next week! (Wednesday 2nd September)
Mrs Brown and I are so excited to see you all, and hope you’re looking forward to getting started with all of the interesting lessons we have planned.
As well as spending lots of time with family and friends over the holidays, we have been busy making sure our classroom is ready for you all coming back. There might have been a few little changes since you last saw the Year 2 classroom, so hopefully the pictures below can answer your questions!
What will the classroom look like?
How will I get to my classroom?
This is where you will enter the classroom on a morning and leave the classroom when school finishes. Some of you will recognise this as the area outside of the Year 1 classroom! It’s had a little makeover. We can’t wait for you to see it (in the sunshine hopefully!)
What will our Topic be?
This term we will be learning all about the Great Fire of London. Please follow the link below to see our Autumn term newsletter. This gives you more detail on all of the exciting things we will be learning about!
We hope you like the look of your new classroom and are excited to spend some time back in school again with all of your friends.
Have a fantastic bank holiday weekend, stay safe and we will see all of you very soon!
