School Office

Our School Office Staff are here to help you, however here are a few items that may be useful to parents and carers which you can view or download from our website. Our Office Manager, Mrs French will assist with any query you have.

Our School Day

Here is a breakdown of our school day:

  • Breakfast Club from 7.45am (Reception upwards)
  • School begins at 9.00am – children may enter via classrooms from 8:45am-9.00am
  • 10:30am-10.45am Playtime – Coolmilk available
  • 12:00pm-1.00pm Lunchtime
  • 1.00pm Collective Worship (Friday is Celebration Worship)
  • 3:15pm End of School
  • 4:30pm After School Clubs finish.

School Attendance

Your child must attend school every day.  Children who are regularly absent from school miss out on opportunities which can affect their life-long chances.  If you need help with attendance you must talk to the school about it as soon as possible. We have included an essential information brochure for Parents below:

Parent Attendance Leaflet 21-22

School Menus and Free School Dinners

Taylor Shaw are our school’s caterers. There is always 3 choices of main meal served with accompaniments and vegetables including a sandwich or baguette option. Fresh Fruit and Water are always available. Find out more about our School Meals and Packed Lunches and how to apply for Free School Meals.

School Travel Plan

A school must have a Travel Plan to promote safe and healthy journeys to school which in turn, can also help to reduce the use of the car and impact of the ‘school run’. View further information and our Walk to School Guide for Parents.

School Nurse

Our School Nurse is Lyndsey Atkinson, she is based at Onepoint in Barnard Castle Tel No. 03000 261577.

Facts about Head Lice

Head lice is a very common condition, especially among children ages 3-10. They are parasitic insects that live in the hair and scalp of humans. Head lice are spread easily from person to person by direct contact. You can find out more about the prevention and the treatment of head lice on our website.

Parent Feedback

Occasionally we ask Parents and carers for feedback. View the results from our latest questionnaire on our website.
